On Tuesday afternoon (10/6), Miranda Lambert was honored in downtown Nashville, TN with her very own star on the Music City Walk of Fame.

The superstar took the stage to accept the honor and told the crowd that she’s “never felt more inspired” in her career.

“A little more than 10 years ago I had gotten off Nashville Star – which was what I did instead of college – and I was living in Nashville and I made my first record. I got scared and ran back home to Mama,” she said at the celebration that also included the support of longtime Dierks Bentley.

“But I moved back here this year and I have never felt so inspired. This has been my first summer off the road in years, and I wrote every day. I feel more a part of Nashville than I ever have. I feel so at home here and so happy, and I am thrilled to have my name on the Music City Walk of Fame.”

“This is such an honor. Thank you for letting me live this amazing life. I love it so much,” she concluded.

The Walk of Fame on Nashville’s Music Mile honors those from all genres of music who have contributed to the world through their music and made a significant contribution to the music industry with a connection to Music City. All inductees are nominated through the Visit Music City website.

Lambert is currently out on the road her Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars tour, which picks up tomorrow night (10/80) in Huntsville, AL.
