Animal lovers unite! Miranda Lambert plans to honor the ‘Don’t shop, adopt’ initiative by hosting her annual adoption drive during the 2017 CMA Music Festival in conjunction with her MuttNation Foundation.

Lambert decided to unite her love of protecting our furry friends and providing sweet music to the masses, so she created the animal-friendly organization that raises awareness about animal abuse and the power of animal adoption. MuttNation Foundation will hold numerous events throughout the country music weekend with opportunities to take home a new pet from the fan favorite “Puppy Corral.”

The morning of June 8 will kick off the inaugural MuttNation March, where hundreds of participants and their pawed pals will parade their way from Nissan Stadium across the famous Pedestrian Bridge to the streets of downtown Nashville. Registration for the morning event costs $15 and includes a MuttNation shirt for all attendees.

“So many shelter pets need a home, so we are going to march to raise awareness,” said Lambert. “Country music has the best fans in the world and together we can help so many animals find amazing homes.”

The MuttNation Foundation Adoption Drive will happen inside the CMA Fan Fair X, with fun features like an interactive photo-booth and the mobile MuttNation unit to help take care of the animals on hand. Lambert hopes to find all of her fluffy friends a home with some of her biggest fans at the event in order to provide a safe space for all of those shelter pets out there.

The 2017 CMA Music Festival will be held in Nashville from June 8-11.
