Miranda Lambert: ‘Marriage Is A Tough Business’

For the first time since her highly-publicized split, Miranda Lambert is opening up about her divorce from Blake Shelton.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the Texas native is featured on the cover of the January issue of Cosmopolitan where she explains: “Marriage is a tough business, and we gave it our best college try,” adding that she’s still processing everything that’s happened.

Lambert and Shelton called it quits over the summer, ending their decade-long relationship and four-year marriage. It appears Shelton as already moved on as he and fellow The Voice coach Gwen Stefani continue their budding romance.

 

Lambert, on the other hand, is not ready to date yet. “I had a great relationship with an amazing man, so I know what good is. I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted,” she shares.

In the meantime, the 32-year-old is focusing on herself and moving on. “Some of that might mean nights on my porch crying, drinking whiskey, and going, ‘Man, this sucks right now.'”
