Miranda Lambert and her Muttnation Foundation showed some major puppy love to shelters all across the United States by sending out massive donations to animal shelters in multiple cities.

The monetary gifts ranged anywhere from $3000 to $5000 each for the 50 shelters that received help from Lambert and her team. After all the money was sent off to help the pets at various humane societies, it totaled up to a whopping $189,000 for all of the shelters’ needs.

“I am amazed and humbled by the great work these shelters do, and so honored to be able to support their critical efforts on behalf of rescue animals,” Lambert said in a press release.

It was the singer’s mother, Bev Lambert, that began the Mutts Across America campaign, which has aided more than 200 shelters in total during its run. Encouraging fans to give back to the initiative, the money raised always goes to spay and neuter protection, pet adoption and relocation of animals from dangerous situations and homes.

MuttNation Foundation also holds many events throughout the year to help get dogs and cats put into happy and safe homes. Following the ‘Adopt, Don’t Shop’ action, everyone involved just wants to save the animals that may not have a place to live or a family to love.

When she’s not out supporting MuttNation events, Miranda Lambert is touring across the country for her Livin’ Like Hippies Tour with Jon Pardi. Tickets and tour date information can be found on her official website.
