Miranda Lambert is about to hit the big screen… but it’s not what you think.

The country star is adding a new role to her extensive resume: executive music producer. Lambert jumped on to the project to add her music expertise to the forthcoming comedy film, in which she’ll work together with well-known Nashville music video director Trey Fanjoy. Her duties not only enlist the creation of a brand new original song for the movie, but also require overseeing the curation of the soundtrack for the production as well.

The comedy is titled Something in the Water, and will star YouTube star Grace Helbig as one of the lead characters, as reported by Deadline. With Fanjoy co-writing the script for the film, the story-line mirrors the same comedic flavor as Steel Magnolias meets Bridesmaids and revolves around five women who plan to take on a group of men in a friendly fishing competition.

“Strong, amazing women are at the heart of this story and they’re also at the center of this film creatively,” Fanjoy said. “Grace is in the zone comedically and at the top of her game and so is Miranda, artistically and musically. I’m thrilled to have so many wonderful creative collaborators.”

This isn’t the first time that Lambert and Fanjoy have worked together—the two have teamed up on a number of her music videos for tracks like “The House That Built Me,” “Kerosene,” “Mama’s Broken Heart,” “Over You,” “Automatic,” and most recently on “Vice.”

There is no set release date for Something in the Water at this time.
