Who run the world? Miranda Lambert after taking home the trophy for the ACM Female Vocalist of the Year Award.

Hugging fellow nominee Carrie Underwood before walking up the stage steps, Lambert gave her fellow competition in the category credit for representing the female voices in country music in a strong manner.

“Thank you so much guys. This means the world to me. Carrie can sing me under the table. We’ve agreed on that. I’m just glad to see females kicking ass these days. I’m so proud to be part of that. So cheers to all of us girls out there dreamin’. Thanks fans, thanks ACMs, thanks to my family and friends, Marion Kraft, Joey Lee, Crystal Dishmon,” Lambert said while accepting the award.

The country queen took home her crown after a stellar year with the release of her emotional two-disc project, The Weight of These Wings. Producing singles such as “Vice” and “We Should Be Friends,” Lambert admitted that she put all of her heartbreak into her latest record, which also earned the prize for the ACM Album of the Year.

Lambert was up against some stiff competition within the category, facing stunning voices like Kacey Musgraves, Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini and Maren Morris.

The 52nd Annual ACM Awards were hosted by Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan, and celebrated right in the heart of Las Vegas.
