It’s all about saving the pets, so Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation is headed down to her home state of Texas to lend a helping hand to people dealing with the destruction of Hurricane Harvey.

Loading up their trailers full of pet supplies and food, the MuttNation Foundation decided it was time to give back to Houston and the surrounding areas during this devastating weather pattern and go save the animals in crisis down south. As a pro-rescue foundation themselves, they wanted to bring the services they offer to those pets trying to find a safe place in the aftermath of the devastating storm.

“Our team is headed South! It was important to our AMAZING founder, Miranda Lambert that we do our part for her home state! We are headed to Houston to give relief to municipal shelters. We will help transport any animals currently in shelters so that there is room for displaced animals from Hurricane Harvey! Plus any other support we can offer!!! You can help support our efforts by donating atwww.muttnationfoundation.com! Friends, please pray for Texas,” the organization posted on their Facebook page.

Lambert also personally expressed her grief over the desolation from the Category Four hurricane that ran rampant through Southeast Texas via a short and sweet post on social media.

“Prayers, light and love for Texas!  #home #hurricaneharvey,” Lambert tweeted earlier alongside a retweet from Ellen DeGeneres about donating to the American Red Cross.

Many country stars are getting behind relief efforts, with Chris Young starting a GoFundMe page with a $100,000 donation and Lady Antebellum donating all of the proceeds earned from their merchandise sales from their show in Dallas to disaster relief efforts.

Those interested in helping out the victims of Hurricane Harvey can go onto the American Red Cross website to learn more about donating.
