Ain’t no party like a Big & Rich party! Well, that’s what most people probably assume. But Noah Galloway has a whole new respect for the fun-loving country duo after attending a get together at John Rich’s house.

The former United States Army soldier and friends were invited over to Rich’s place a few months ago to have a good time among other party guests in the crowd. What came to Galloway’s surprise was how Big & Rich reacted when he showed up.

“As soon as we got there, we were taken back to this area away from the rest of the party where Kenny and John were and they were super nice,” said Galloway. “They were aware of who I was. That was just a shock to me.”

After chatting with the guys about how Galloway’s uncle was a Vietnam Veteran in the 173rd Airborne Brigade, Big & Rich decided to throw another surprise at Galloway by asking him to speak before they performed their hit, “Eighth of November,” for the crowd. Galloway felt more than honored to stand up on that stage, just as he stood up for his country.

“They asked me if I would speak before they did “Eighth of November.” So they had me come up on stage and I was like, ‘You know three days after I was injured, Eighth of November came out.’ And it’s about a Vietnam Veteran in the 173rd that was injured and then lost his buddies in combat. I said it was so relatable to me,” Galloway said.

Even though Galloway is a motivational speaker that spreads his message across the country, he was completely grateful for Big & Rich to lend their platform to him, just as their song did for Galloway throughout the years.

“While I was on stage, I got to thank [you], John and Kenny, for connecting with me and so many people that way as artists and it was just cool to be able to do that publicly,” said Galloway. “Because they just wanted me to speak to share my story, but I wanted it as an opportunity because I have so much respect for them and what they’ve done and I wanted to really stress that.”

Now that’s one party Galloway plans to never forget.
