Old Dominion Is ‘Just Living This Dream’

Old Dominion

Old Dominion has been causing quite a buzz over the past year. The talented group of singer/songwriters signed a record deal with RCA Nashville, earned a spot on Kenny Chesney’s The Big Revival Tour, and their single, “Break Up With Him,” has been a favorite with fans and radio alike.

As artists, they obviously want this journey to last forever, but if it were to end, the group is satisfied with that too. “When we all started as kids, this is what we wanted to do,” vocalist Matthew Ramsey told The Boston Globe. “So right now we’re just living this dream. If somebody tells us tomorrow that we can’t do it, then we’ve already done what no one gets to do. So we just have this attitude of, of course this is going to end tomorrow, so let’s just ride it as hard as we can as far as we can.”

In the meantime, the group, who is comprised of Ramsey, multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen, drummer Whit Sellers, bassist Geoff Sprung, and guitarist Brad Tursi, is enjoying the time they get to spend on the road with Chesney (Ramsey and Tursi even wrote Chesney’s “Save It For A Rainy Day”). The superstar is also enjoying having the group on the road, especially at the start of their career.

“To have them in their career where they were when we started this tour and to see where they are now and how much forward they’ve moved as a band in one summer is really fun to see,” Chesney shared.

Old Dominion’s debut album set to release via RCA Records Nashville late 2015.
