Another playoff game, another star-studded anthem. Together, Dierks Bentley and Del McCoury took to the ice for an unforgettable moment in center ice as they performed a remarkable version of the National Anthem. Bentley was sporting a Nashville Predators jersey with the number 17 with McCoury embracing a rally towel in his left hand. The performance marks Bentley’s second time performing the anthem during a Preds playoff game.

The two will team up once again later this year when McCoury performs at Bentley’s inaugural Seven Peaks Music Festival.

The performance took place ahead of Game 1 of the NHL Playoffs round 2 between the Nashville Predators and Winnipeg Jets on Friday night (4/27). The teams faced off against one another during the Preds home game within Bridgestone Arena.

The new tradition of stars singing the National Anthem began during the 2017 season when the Preds made a Stanley Cup run. During each home game, stars including Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Vince Gill, Keith Urban, among others, sported their “fang fingers” and impressive vocals.

In addition to Morris’ performance this season, the Texas native joins the ranks of Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts, who have also stepped center ice for the patriotic moment.

The Preds and Jets play once again on Sunday (4/29) in Music City.
