Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Michael Sacha. Sacha, who is the personal assistant of singer Kid Rock, was killed yesterday (4/25) in an apparent ATV accident.

Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, was hosting a cookout on his Nashville area property when the accident occurred, The Tennessean reports. According to Nashville Metro police, Sacha was ferrying guests to the driveway to catch an Uber around midnight Monday. He lost control of the vehicle and crashed on his way back to the residence.

“He was a member of our family and one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with,” said Kid Rock in a statement. “I know I speak for us all in sharing my deepest condolences to his family. I cannot imagine how they must feel.”

Police report that the singer and a friend found Sacha on an embankment and immediately called for help. They report that when the Nashville Fire Department arrived on scene, the man was already deceased.

The “All Summer Long” singer was reportedly supposed to return to Michigan, but will stay in Tennessee until “I can bring him home to his family.”

“We’ve already been contacted by the press asking if it was me who was in the accident, so I want to stop any rumors before they spread,” he added. “I’m asking everyone to please respect our and his families’ privacy in this difficult time. RIP Mike. We will never forget you, my friend.”
