ACM Presents Girls Night Out: Superstar Women Of Country
Jennifer Nettles, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, & The Judds
Last night in Las Vegas some of country music’s most-loved ladies were honored for their contribution to the industry. Sara Evans, Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, and Blake Shelton were among the artists on hand to pay tribute to Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Reba, Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, Miranda Lambert, Loretta Lynn and The Judds.
Among the performances during the evening were Vince Gill teaming up with Carrie for her hit “Jesus Take The Wheel,” Blake singing “Famous In A Small Town” for his bride-to-be, and Ronnie Dunn sharing the stage with Nettles for her powerful hit “Stay.”
“It’s a big honor, it’s so wonderful any time we can honor women in music and the contributions that they make and have made, so I think [it] is pretty special,” said honoree Jennifer Nettles. “I don’t think there has been something like this in country music before. So to be able to be a part of this is really special for me and to be able to be there and celebrate these women who I admire and who I look up to and respect for what they do and what they bring to the genre I think is really really special
The Girls' Night Out special will air on CBS on April 22.
