Police are on the hunt for an an unidentified 16-year-old suspect, who allegedly stabbed Kane Brown's sister on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Country newcomer Kane Brown took to Facebook to ask fans for their prayers following the stabbing of his sister.

“Prayers for my sister please! I’m all the way out in Nebraska and get a text that she was stabbed 4 times,” Brown wrote during the early morning hours on on Wednesday. “You better hope I don’t find out who you are. I’m so sick to my stomach right now.”

New details about the stabbing have now emerged. According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, Kane’s 19-year-old sister, Heidi Swafford, went to an area hospital after being stabbed twice, once on the neck, and once on the shoulder, some time after 4:30 pm Tuesday. The stabbing allegedly occurred when Heidi and an unidentified 16-year-old suspect, whom police are still searching for, got into a fight Tuesday afternoon.

Thousands of comments offering Kane and his family prayers and well-wishes have poured in, but there is still no update regarding Heidi’s condition.

Brown, a native of Red Bank, Tennessee, burst onto the Country music scene last year after building a huge social following. He signed to RCA Nashville earlier this year and is currently on tour with Florida Georgia Line.
