Post Monroe is now a duo as Shelby McLeod has decided to part ways with the band to pursue a solo career.

The singer shared the news in a social media post Monday evening (Oct. 23), writing “After careful thought and reflection, I will be parting ways from Post Monroe. I plan to pursue a solo career and am excited about the future collaborations with some of Nashville’s finest.”

“I’m so thankful for my time with these amazing women and musicians, and I look forward to the next chapters for all of us,” she continued. “Thank you to everyone that’s been behind me along the way. Keep it sparkly.”

Following McLeod’s announcement, the official Post Monroe Instagram shared a message with fans, revealing that Whitney Duncan and Ashlee Hewitt will continue as a duo under the name Post Monroe.

The trio first hit the country music scene in 2016 with the release of their five-song self-titled EP. Named one of CMT’s Next Women of Country, the group traveled on the all-female tour opening shows for Martina McBride in early 2017. In September, Post Monroe released two new songs, “White Noise” and “Psycho,” to streaming services.
