From the lifestyles of the rich and famous in The O.C. to the small town charm in Hart of Dixie, actress Rachel Bilson is ready to bring her talents to the heart of Music City.

During the Thursday night’s (March 9) midseason finale, Bilson posted a number of social media hints on her channels about joining the cast of Nashville by sending out a picture of Highway 65 Records to all of her fans. “Music city, here I come,” she wrote.

Also joining the cast of the hit drama is Kaitlin Doubleday of Empire, who will tag along to the continuation of season five when it comes back around later this year.

“We welcome Rachel and Kaitlin into our incredibly talented ensemble,” said showrunner Marshall Herskovitz. “We fondly anticipate the second half of the season filled with surprising twists and turns that make Nashville so beloved by the fans.”

The news follows directly after the abrupt and tragic exit by Connie Britton after her main character, Rayna James, passed away due to surgery complications after getting into a critical car crash. Although the loss paved the way for great ratings on Nashville, those dedicated Nashies will hold on tight to see what’s in store for the unknown characters that Bilson and Doubleday will play.

A return date for season five of CMT’s Nashville has yet to be announced at this time.
