Randy Houser Details New 12-Track Album, Magnolia
Houser worked on Magnolia for two years!
Randy Houser will soon begin the next chapter of his career. For nearly two years, the singer locked himself away in co-producer Keith Gattis’ East Nashville studio to write and record what turned into his 12-song album, Magnolia.
The project, full of blood, sweat and tears, will debut to fans around the world upon its release on November 2.
“This album was a total reset for me in every way possible. With the last album, I just didn’t have time to create, and it was obvious that it didn’t all come from my guts. Because of that, the music just didn’t feel as genuine,” said the Mississippi native in a press release. “When writing for this new project, I knew the production had to lean on songs and melodies, not a bunch of tricks and loops. That was the catalyst for album. So, for the past two years we’ve been focused on trying to find a unique sound and trying to best serve the songs.”
Houser co-wrote each of the 12 songs on Magnolia, and even played guitar on many of the songs during the recording process. Listeners got the first taste of what to expect when he dropped the lead single “What Whiskey Does” to country radio.
With the announcement of the full-length project, Houser debuted another song, “No Stone Unturned,” which is available for download when you pre-order the album. The project also features guest vocals from Lucie Silvas and Hillary Lindsey on the songs “Our Hearts” and “What Whiskey Does,” respectively.
Houser will take his new music to the next leven when he embarks on his “Magnolia Tour,” kicking off in October. Tickets for the tour will go on sale beginning Wednesday, August 29 at 10 a.m. local time, with fans receiving a copy of Magnolia with every purchase (one redemption per transaction). More dates for the “Magnolia Tour” will be announced at a later date.
