Randy Travis Makes Surprise Grand Ole Opry Appearance

Randy Travis made a rare public appearance on Friday (9/25) at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

The “Forever and Ever, Amen” singer has been noticeably absent from the public eye since he suffered a stroke, leading to an emergency surgery to relieve pressure on his brain back in 2013. “Thanks to all the fans and friends for your continued prayers and support as Randy continues on the road to recovery,” his then fiancée, Mary Davis, said at the time.

Travis also surprised fans back in April when he attended the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards as a newly married man. His reps confirmed that he wed Davis, on March 21, 2015.
