Rascal Flatts Aim to ‘Pass the Blessings’ Through Charitable Efforts

“I think we’ve always felt like as a band that if we were blessed enough to be in a position to pay it forward and to give it back and bless somebody else that it was just your responsibility," said band member Jay DeMarcus.

With all of the love and support that the guys of Rascal Flatts have received over the many years in their career, they find it only right to give back to charitable causes in return.

As their platform has grown exponentially throughout the years beyond the realm of country music, the band puts it upon themselves to contribute back to a community that did so much for their career. In the end, the guys just want to set a good example to be kind people and wouldn’t imagine it any other way than to help out in any form they can.

“I think we’ve always felt like as a band that if we were blessed enough to be in a position to pay it forward and to give it back and bless somebody else that it was just your responsibility. It’s just the right thing to do. I said for years that it’s funny to get patted on the back and get accolades and everything for things that you just should do as a good human being, you know,” the trio’s Jay DeMarcus says. “And it’s real important for us to make sure that we pass the blessings on because we all feel like, I know all three of us feel like we’ve been blessed far beyond what we ever imagined or thought we deserved. And with that comes a great responsibility to bless others. And we’ve just tried to use our platform to influence people and to maybe spread a little good and a little hope in this world,”

From working with Monroe Carroll Jr. Children’s Hospital in Nashville to The Salvation Army, Rascal Flatts always makes it a point to use their big name status to change even the life of one person through various programs and foundations. They’ve been recognized for their efforts, and the guys feel humbled to be able to contribute as much as they can.

Their new single, “Yours If You Want It,” is currently playing on country radio and is the first single from their forthcoming album, Back to Us, out May 19.
