"Working with Ronnie and Kix is so much fun. We toured four times together in the 1990s, and to be able to get back together now is just an experience that I look forward to every time that we go onto the stage,"Reba tells us.

It’s been nearly two years since Reba and Brooks & Dunn announced their plans for a residency in Las Vegas. The shows have been going so well that they’ve continued to add dates, currently extended through 2017. For Reba, who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2011, the shows with Brooks & Dunn definitely rank as a career highlight.

“It’s been so much fun,” she told Sounds Like Nashville. “We just completed three weeks in Vegas in July, and although it was so hot inside, it was so much fun. Working with Ronnie and Kix is so much fun. We toured four times together in the 1990s, and to be able to get back together now is just an experience that I look forward to every time that we go onto the stage. We start the show together, and end it together. I’ll sing three songs, and go off-stage, and they will do the same, and then we’ll do some things together. It just flies by. It’s not a boring show for us. All the fans have told us they loved it,” she says, saying the show is going by fast. “We’ve kind of gone over our time limit. It was supposed to be ninety minutes to two hours, but we’re going over because we’re having such a good time out there.”

Both Kix and Ronnie have given the credit to Reba for putting together the Vegas show, but she says it was a good business decision for all involved. “That’s sweet of both of them to say that, but I can’t take the credit. A lot of us were out at dinner one night before we went over to the arena to watch a show. Our good friend, Jeff Cook, who did rotator surgery on Kix, was with us, and we all got to talking about vacations. Jeff said ‘Why don’t you go to Vegas, and let’s make some money?’ You guys perform, and we’ll all come out and visit you. I looked at Kix, and said ‘Would you be up for that?’ He said “Yes,” I looked at Ronnie and he said yes. So, Narvel put it all together with our booking agents and the next year, we were in Las Vegas.”
