The day has finally arrived as Reba announced the title of her brand new drama series premiering soon.

After revealing details about the show, in which she explained the show would be the first drama she’s starred in, Reba spilled that the title for the series is Red Blooded. While fans can only imagine what the title alludes to, the country singer has previously said the theme revolves around crime within a small town.

Reba will be playing the character of Ruby Adair, who happens to be a sheriff in a small town confronted with solving a crime alongside a brand new partner who challenges her traditional perspective. The pilot for the series has already been shot and Reba can’t wait to see her character’s adaptation on screen relatively soon.

“I’m a dark character,” Reba said during an interview with CMT’s Cody Alan. “I’ve got a lot of flaws and demons, and I’m having a lot of problems in my personal life. My town is being disrupted and I’m having to deal with it all. I’m under a lot of stress.”

The filming for Red Blooded is set to continue in mid-July, and ABC will decide if it plans to greenlight the rest of the series for further airing.

Reba’s latest album, Sing It Now: Songs of Faith and Hope, was released in February of this year. She is currently promoting her single, “Back to God,” from the record to country radio.
