RECAP: Temecula Road Performs New Single, Chats About Festival Season

Temecula Road may be on the road performing here and there at festivals throughout the next couple months, but that didn’t stop them from dropping by the Sounds Like Nashville office to talk all about their new music and what’s in store for the rest of their hectic year.

The up-and-coming country trio performed a cover of The Chainsmokers’ huge pop hit, “Closer,” before playing their latest single, “What If I Kissed You,” for the Facebook Live session. The group recently filmed a music video for their sweet song, but they admitted that the weather conditions weren’t ideal despite being based out in the desert area.

“We have a music video that we filmed, and it was like freezing cold that day. 30 degrees. Her [Maddie] thighs were like red and purple. They were changing colors,” guitarist Dawson Anderson of the group revealed.

Temecula Road even chatted a bit about their festival moments, with C2C in London under their belts before taking on the Southern California beast that is Stagecoach Festival. Prepping to perform on Sunday, the trio can’t wait to be a part of such an iconic country music weekend surrounded by some of their closest friends in the business as well as their heroes.

“This is my first time going too, so not only are we going to go and play and do all that good stuff, we’re also going to have time to be fans and totally fangirl and go crazy,” admitted Anderson.

Adding more to the fun, Temecula Road exposed a few of their funny secrets during a quick speed round of The Game of Things. Talking about how they relax to stuff they believe is totally staying behind in 2016, each of the members let their true personalities shine through as they laughed through the lighthearted game.
