The Voice made history during its live broadcast this week by airing 20 performances in one night, the most ever in the show’s history. Each team consisted of five singers who sang their heart out for America’s vote.

After each team performed, The Voice viewers were given an allotted time to vote for their favorite performers from the respective team. The two artists with the most votes automatically moved onto the next round and each coach had the opportunity to save one of their own and see them continue to next week, all of which were announced throughout the show. Now that we got the rules, let’s move on to the results.

Sundance Head, Jason Warrior, Dana Harper, Austin Allsup and Courtney Harrell were the final five on team Blake Shelton. Head’s soulful rendition of Keith Urban’s “Blue Ain’t Your Color” won America’s favor and he moved onto the next round. Austin Allsup must have been doing something right during his performance of “I Ain’t Living Long Like This,” because voters wanted to see him again next week. But it was Courtney Harrell’s crowd-engaging, pitch-perfect display of “It Must Have Been Love” that earned enough admiration from Coach Shelton to have him save her and send the professional songwriter onto the next round.

Country contestant Josh Gallagher, who is a member of Team Adam Levine, mesmerized the crowd with Zac Brown Band’s “Colder Weather.” Former child-star Billy Gilman of the same team put all of his emotions on the line for a rendition of “Crying.” Both young men had enough votes to move on to next week’s live shows.

The Voice will be back next Monday at 8 PM EST on NBC with Garth Brooks guest-starring as a key advisor to the performing hopefuls.
