Six contestants fought for three spots in the final set of battle rounds on The Voice Tuesday (Oct. 18) evening.

Blake Shelton partnered country singers Austin Allsup and Preston James together for his final battle. He had the two hopefuls perform Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Bad Moon Rising,” an ominous 1969 classic. Their rendition of the hit left both the judges and audience members clapping along as they both rocked on their guitars.  Their strong performance and soulful harmonies left coach Shelton scratching his head trying to decide the winner.

“You guys did incredible.” Shelton told his team members. “But no matter what you came on the show for, everyone has something to learn.”

With that thought in mind, Allsup was deemed the winner and 16-year-old James was sent home.

Adam Levine had a tough choice to make when he battled Bindi Liebowitz and Brenden Fletcher against each other. After a struggle to decide, he chose Fletcher. Levine felt a sigh of relief though when Shelton used his last steal to keep Liebowitz in the running of becoming the next winner.

The final round before the live shows will air next week starting Monday, the knockout rounds. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will temporarily join the telecast to advise contestants. and after watching the previews you won’t want to miss it!

The Voice airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8 PM EST on NBC.
