Rory Feek To Pen Book About His Wife’s Life
As friends, family, and fans continue to mourn Joey Feek's loss, her husband, Rory, his hoping to keep her memory alive.
Throughout the past year, Joey and Rory Feek’s faith, courage, and love throughout Joey’s battle with stage IV cervical cancer inspired millions. As friends, family, and fans continue to mourn Joey’s loss, her husband, Rory, his hoping to keep her memory alive.
“She talked to me about how she wants me to continue to tell our story, and other stories,” Rory told People. “This past spring I co-wrote and directed my first film, and she wants me to go on and continue writing and making more movies.”
The singer/songwriter, who chronicled the ups and downs of his wife’s cancer battle through beautifully written blog entries on This Life I Live, also revealed that she also inspired him to explore other creative outlets. “And she’s also encouraged me to write a book,” he added. “Joey and I have both experienced the power of living, and telling a great story, so I hope to be able to continue writing and being part of a great story.”
Joey was laid to rest on Tuesday (Mar. 8) during a private funeral in the family cemetery on the Maury County, Tennessee farm property she shared with her husband.
