Sam Hunt Offers Up Why He Chose Chris Janson, Maren Morris and Ryan Follese as Openers

"They seemed like they loved what they do, they care about what they do, they’re passionate and talented, and there’s an integrity to them as people and their music," Hunt revealed.

With a dynamic act headlining the stage on his 15 in a 30 Tour throughout the warmer months, Sam Hunt set his sights on finding the best people to vibe with as his opening acts.

Hunt, in turn, created a lineup like none other with Chris Janson’s traditional approach taking the lead before Maren Morris adds a little bit of soul to the mix. Even Ryan Follese provides the pop-country look that mirrors similarly to Hunt’s rapping riffs. The collection of the diversity in country music was what Hunt aimed to gear towards, as well as finding personalities that meshed well together for their traveling expeditions.

“These are people who I just was drawn to, when I met ‘em. They seemed like they loved what they do, they care about what they do, they’re passionate and talented, and there’s an integrity to them as people and their music. I don’t know them all really well yet, but I was able to recognize those things pretty quickly with the short time I spent around them.  And so that to me, is what sold those guys and Maren on me,” explained Hunt.

Hoping that the fans will get in touch with each of the separate sounds put out throughout the performances, Hunt sees potential in each of the artists he tagged for this tour and only wishes the best for what’s in store during their sets.

“I think folks that come out to the shows are gonna pick up on it and I think that they’re gonna realize that none of us are the type of people who are just doing this for the wrong reasons, and hopefully people can appreciate that,” he said recently. “And aside from that, their music’s great. You know, they’re really doing cool things.”

The 15 in a 30 Tour will run throughout the summer, stopping in many cities across the U.S. Fans can find more details about dates and tickets online.
