Sam Hunt’s hot streak continued tonight with two wins at the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards in Los Angeles.

The Georgia Native took home the trophies for both Breakthrough Male of the Year and Digital Album of the Year for his debut record, Montevallo.

Jennifer Nettles and Terry Crews presented Hunt with the honor. Before his acceptance speech, the soft-spoken singer/songwriter delivered a memorable performance of his latest single, “Make You Miss Me.”

“Thank y’all so much. I appreciate it,” Hunt said when accepting the trophies. “I can’t take all the credit for the success of this album though. I realized a few years ago that my greatest talent is recognizing talent and convication in other people and trying to figure out how to work with them. I wanna thank all the folks who invested their talent in this record. Thank you for sticking to your guns and hanging in there with me till the end.”

He also had a message for the fans. “To the country music fans, I hope y’all know how much we appreciate you. We love you.”

Also nominated for Breakthrough Male of the Year were Chris Janson and Michael Ray. Hunt’s album, Montevallo, was up against Florida Georgia Line’s Anything Goes and Thomas Rhett’s Tangled Up in the Digital Album of the Year category.
