Noting that because it is the one day a year devoted specifically to everything she wants, the country singer will happily oblige to whatever decisions his loving mama plans to do on that day.
“I don’t know if we have plans quite yet, but Mother’s Day…it is Mom’s Day! It’s really no different, because typically whatever Mama says goes, but that day, for sure—whatever restaurant she wants to eat at, whatever food she wants, movie she wants to watch even if it’s Food Inc. and we gotta watch about how our food gets made, she wants to watch it, we watch it. It’ll be a great day celebrating her,” he told Sounds Like Nashville during a recent phone interview.
Holding family close to his heart, McCreery recently released his new personal track, “Five More Minutes,” for listeners to reflect on their own precious memories and look back on the treasured times. Dedicating one verse solely to his grandfather, McCreery honors the importance of family life and Mother’s Day will be no different for him.
