Scotty McCreery Wins $25,000 For St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on Celebrity Family Feud

Scotty McCreery and his family joined forces during a recent episode of Celebrity Family Feud in hopes of raising $25,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Facing off against comedian Chris Kattan, McCreery and Co. came out victorious after a rousing battle.

“My family and I were honored to play Celebrity Family Feud on behalf of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” said McCreery in a press release. “St. Jude provides innovative medical treatments for kids with catastrophic diseases, and they do it for free. I’ve visited the hospital and met some of the patients. It is truly a place of healing.”

CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD – “Scotty McCreery vs. Chris Kattan and Amber Riley vs. Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott” – The celebrity teams competing to win cash for their charities feature country music artist Scotty McCreery and actor/comedian Chris Kattan, best known from his stints on “Saturday Night Live” and “The Middle.” In a separate game, family members of actress Amber Riley (“Glee”) and actress Tori Spelling (“Beverly Hills, 90210″) alongside her husband, actor/host Dean McDermott (“Chopped Canada”), will compete on an all-new episode, SUNDAY, AUG. 5 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. McCreery’s team included his wife, Gabi Dugal McCreery; father-in-law, Merrick “Tré” Dugal III; father, Mike McCreery; and grandmother, Paquita McCreery. It was Gabi and Scotty, however, that truly earned the win with their answers in the final round.

Gabi was first up, providing five solid answers during fast money, earning the team 140 points out of the 200 needed for the big prize. McCreery stepped up to the plate, also offering up great answers for the questions provided by host Steve Harvey. Though some of his responses may have been questionable, they did offer up laughs from the audience and also enough points to win $25,000 for the hospital.

After his Celebrity Family Feud win, McCreery is back on the road, touring in support of his latest album, Seasons Change. His current single, “This Is It,” is currently at country radio.
