Shania Twain keeps rolling right into the next big thing, and she’s about to put her acting chops on display in a new film about racing called Trading Paint.

As the wearer of many hats these days, from performing to songwriting to now acting, Twain will lend her skills to the role of “Becca” in the upcoming production. Starring alongside John Travolta, Michael Madsen, Toby Sebastian and many more huge Hollywood names, Twain will give the silver screen a run for its money.

According to IMDB, Trading Paint is about a racing driver whose become quite experienced on the track and the conflicts he faces alongside his son, who also happens to race. Overcoming personal issues and family conflicts as well as their sporting enemy, the two must bond together in order to come out on top.

“It’s well know that dirt track racing is one of the most exciting sports in the world, and it’s also one of the most dangerous. Our story is rooted in that high-speed danger, but also very much character driven, and this is where having someone of John’s caliber and gravitas pays great dividends,” said producer Andrea Iervolino said recently of the film’s plot.

While it’s unknown as to how “Becca” will play a factor in the storyline, Twain will support the main cast in what seems to be her debut movie part. She’ll be sure to gain a good amount of knowledge from working on set with a legend such as Travolta during the making of the film.

Not only does Twain have Trading Paint on her professional horizon, she also is set to release her highly anticipated album, NOW. Featuring her latest single, “Life’s About to Get Good,” the country superstar will use music as her personal account of her life story over the past handful of years.

NOW will hit shelves September 29.
