Steven Tyler is hitting the road, but this time around will be like never before for the rocker.

This summer, Tyler will be heading across the country on his 19-city Out On A Limb tour. Although hes bringing the Nashville-native band Loving Mary along, this will mark his first-ever solo tour since starting his country career a year ago.

Starting out on July 2 in Las Vegas, Tyler will be performing at small venues rather than massive arenas and mixing the old with the new throughout his setlist. The concerts will feature some of his debut country music as well as reworked versions of the Aerosmith classics.

The inspired idea came from Tylers acoustic performance on the PBS series, Front and Center, which focuses on the storytelling and the fans rather than the tricks and frills of a typical rock concert.

While hosting a benefit show in New York recently, Tyler previewed the show for fans by telling the stories behind some of his bands hit singles before playing them in a more intimate manner.

Tylers transition to the country music genre has not been as big of a shakeup as expected; the singer has had an easy time adjusting to the songwriting rounds of Nashville as well as enjoyed the welcoming vibes of the community.

The Out On A Limb tour kicks off July 2 and continues through mid-September. Fans can purchase tickets starting May 14 through Live Nation.
