The upbeat track following Marie and her squad out into the wilderness for a shindig in the great outdoors. Following along the playful lyric, the singer makes sure the bonfire continues making flames to keep the party going all night long.
Picking up folks at a bus stop along the way, Marie proves that it doesn’t matter what you’re doing, where you’re going or who you are—the fun can commence whenever you want to dance around and enjoy the sweeter sides of life.
Directed by Veronica Zelle, Marie worked together with her to truly emulate what her single stands for. Hoping to recreate the same happy vibes from the song onto screen, Marie really just wanted to feel the love she did while making “Keep It Lit” in the studio.
“It’s about celebrating the people that come into our lives, and that was what the video became,” Marie said of the production.
The cute country girl will take her talents to the Today show, where Marie will bust a move during her performance of “Keep It Lit” for Kathie Lee and Hoda. She also will sing her track, among many others, at The Studio at Opry City Stage in New York City on January 31.
