“The Voice” season six alum Christina Grimmie was shot and killed at her concert in Orlando, Florida Friday evening.

“It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord. She was shot at her show in Orlando, and unfortunately didn’t survive the gun shot wounds,” her rep confirmed. “We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning.”

According to reports, Grimmie, who was part of Team Adam Levine and placed third on the popular singing competition, was shot by an unidentified suspect. After being tackled by Grimmie’s brother, the suspect then turned the gun on himself and took his own life.

Police say the 22-year-old was signing autographs after near a merchandise table at The Plaza Live venue when a man armed with two guns approached her and opened fire.

As the heartbreaking news spread, fellow members of “The Voice” family shared their condolences via social media. Longtime “The Voice” coach Blake Shelton also offered his thoughts on Grimmie’s untimely death.
