Thomas Rhett and Wife Will Wait to Find Out Baby’s Gender
Is it a boy or a girl for Thomas Rhett and his wife? Only time will tell!
On Wednesday (Feb. 15), Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren nearly broke the Internet when they shared the news that they were not only expecting a baby of their own, but also adopting a child from Africa. Just as news of the two new additions began to settle, the adorable couple started talking gender. Unfortunately for fans, whether or not they’ll be seeing pink or blue is something we won’t know until the tyke arrives in August.
“Me and Lauren just did an ultrasound and she is making me wait, and her, for us to find out if it is a boy or a girl,” Rhett shared in a video posted to Instagram.
The only details Rhett did spill is how they couple plans on celebrating seeing their baby on video. “We’re gonna go celebrate at Zaxby’s,” he said, earning a chuckle from Lauren.
While the gender of their biological child may remain a mystery, planning for their new family is something that is already well-underway for the parents-to-be.
“I took a whole row of bunks out of my bus and got a baby crib put in there,” Rhett recently told People. “So we’re getting life on the road ready for when we do bring them out there.”
In addition to their big family news, Rhett received some special career news this morning when he received two nominations for the 52nd Annual ACM Awards, including a nod for Male Vocalist of the Year.
