Thomas Rhett is Happy That Fans Love Willa Gray as Much as He Does

Thomas Rhett couldn’t have asked for a stronger support system than the one he found in his fans after he and his wife Lauren recently adopted their daughter, Willa Gray.

The rollercoaster adoption process caused quite the strain for Rhett and his family, but everything fell right into place when the paperwork became finalized and they got to take their daughter home for the first time. Despite spending a lot of time on the road, the country singer has been adjusting to his new title of ‘Dad’ and his fans stand behind his growing family along every step of the way.

“We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing child. I mean when we met Willa she was six months old. Even though we weren’t there the whole time because we had to come back and forth from Uganda to America, but just watching her kinda grow up and being kinda like this shy kid and now like never has met a stranger and will literally jump into your arms if you ask her to. Her personality is just explosive and it’s just amazing how supportive people have been,” Rhett explained recently.

With another biological child on the way, Rhett didn’t know how his fans would react to the idea of international adoption. But ever since he and Lauren introduced Willa to the world a few short months ago, they all embraced the little one with open arms.

“Just on the topic of adoption I kind of feel like it’s sort of controversial in a strange way but my fans have been the most loving people ever towards Willa and towards Lauren and towards our family,” said Rhett.

Rhett just released the second single, “Unforgettable,” featured on his forthcoming album, Life Changes. His record is due out on September 8.
