Thomas Rhett sure is a happy man after sitting in the No.1 spot on the Billboard Country Airplay Charts for the sixth consecutive week with his hit, “Die A Happy Man.”

The last time an artist sat atop the Billboard Country chart for six consecutive weeks was in 2007 with Taylor Swift’s “Our Song.”

“I seriously can’t believe this song has spent six weeks at No.1,” said Rhett. “When you put a song out there as personal as this, you hope it connects and resonates with people. But I could never have imagined it would connect like this! And to mirror an achievement not seen since Taylor Swift – someone I really respect as a songwriter, performer and entertainer – is just mind blowing.”

The Georgia native wrote the song for his wife, Lauren. “Everyone knows how personal and special this song is to me and my wife, so for it to be connecting the way it has with fans is all the more gratifying,” he said weeks ago.

“Die A Happy Man” is from his sophomore album Tangled Up and marks his fifth consecutive No.1.
