Folks in the Northern Midwest have to wait a little while longer for Thomas Rhett to travel to their cities as the country singer announced he would be postponing a handful shows in the area.

According to All Access, Rhett is recovering from an unknown illness and plans to take the next couple days off touring to relax and regain his strength for the continuation of his run. Rescheduling the plans to later dates, Rhett will skip his St. Paul, Minnesota; Brookings, South Dakota; and Omaha, Nebraska, shows over the October 26-28 weekend.

Thankfully for fans, the Georgia native will fulfill the dates, which have been rescheduled for November 29, December 1 and December 2, respectively. Rhett will also bring along his current opening acts, Walker Hayes and Old Dominion, back for those dates.

All of the tickets for the postponed shows will be honored at the cities and venues as listed, but fans who can no longer attend or are looking for refunds can return the tickets to the point of purchase to receive their money back for the inconvenience.

Hopefully, Rhett recovers quick enough to let the show go on for his performance at the upcoming 51st Annual CMA Awards. The “Unforgettable” singer is just one of many stars taking the stage that night, including other names like Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Reba, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris and many more.

After wrapping his own headlining Home Team Tour pretty soon, Rhett will begin prepping for his slot on Kenny Chesney’s Trip Around the Sun Tour next year. He’ll tag along with Old Dominion and Brandon Lay for the stadium-run of the tour, which kicks off next spring.
