Thomas Rhett Thinks Daughter Willa is Adjusting Just Fine

Not only is Thomas Rhett getting used to his new role as a father, his daughter Willa is finding her place after making the move from Africa to her adopted parents’ house in Tennessee.

Thankfully enough, it seems as though she’s grown into her own and quick because Rhett and his wife, Lauren, have introduced Willa to a number of the extraordinary aspects of their life from living on the tour bus to traveling day after day. Rather than reacting negatively to the changes, Willa surely developed an open mind toward her new life and Rhett seems excited to continue on with their journey together.

“Willa has just adapted way better than we ever thought she would. Going from where she came from to being here, we thought she’d be overwhelmed, kinda really shy. But she never met another stranger. You could bring her into a huge crowded room and she’s like the life of the party or she can chill with just watching Moana for the 58th time this week,” Rhett revealed to Sounds Like Nashville and other media.

Rhett continues to embrace his new normal as well, even though it may not seem as glamorous as some fans would expect. Taking his daddy duties seriously as soon as he walks out of a show, the country singer thrives just as much on the crowd’s energy as he does with a hug from Willa.

“I was just telling them backstage that I felt like a big rockstar,” the singer said. “I walked off stage and changed a dirty diaper immediately. So that’s what life has become.”
