Fans of Thompson Square are one step closer to their MASTERPIECE.  The country duo of Keifer and Shawna Thompson have unveiled the track list for their impending album that features 11 new songs.

Nearly all of the tracks are penned by the husband-and-wife team, alongside a handful of country music’s top writers including Emily Weisband, Brad and Brett Warren, Cary Barlowe and more.

The album includes titles such as “Up in Smoke,” “Let’s Do Something Stupid,” A Love Like This” and “Millionaires,” which are all available now prior to its official release, along with the title track. The duo shares that the album, their first release in half a decade, reflects a “transformative period” they endured between projects, including becoming parents in 2016 to son, Rigney.

It seems like the project will offer an eclectic mix of sounds, blending the genres of R&B, rock and even reggae. “This album is called MASTERPIECE, and the definition of a masterpiece is an artist’s life’s work. When we’re 80 years old and we look back, we want to be able to say we’re really proud of all the stuff we did,” Keifer Thompson says.

“It is extremely diverse. We didn’t design it that way, but Keifer and I love all types of music, and I think that shows more on this record than any of the others,” adds Shawna.

The new project follows 2013’s Just Feels Good, which includes the No. 1 track, “If I Didn’t Have You.” MASTERPIECE is available on June 1.
