Tim McGraw Always Puts Family First

Tim McGraw has conquered a lot throughout his time as a country artist; he’s released award-winning studio albums, topped the Billboard Country Charts and even tried his hand at acting in critically-acclaimed motion pictures. Despite his lengthy and successful career, McGraw knows that at the end of the day, family comes first.

He and wife, Faith Hill, have maintained a normal family dynamic and established that idea from the start to remain humble and kind. McGraw attributes his and Hill’s incredible careers to the fact that their family sits atop the list of important considerations.

“We made a conscious decision when we got married that no matter what, if we were going to start a family that that was going to be our first priority and everything else was sorta just gonna find its place,” McGraw explained. “For better or worse, for our careers better or worse or whatever, that’s always been our core understanding and our core principal, is putting our family first.”

Passing along the advice to their three teenage daughters may get a little tricky sometimes. But teaching the true values of life to their kids keeps the McGraws together through thick and thin.

“I think that’s paid off in our kids and their lives and how we’ve given them as much of a normal life as we can in a situation that they’re in.”
