Some things just go better together. This holds true for country power couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Separate, they’re great, but when you put them together, they’re unstoppable.

The superstars brought their highly acclaimed Soul2Soul World Tour 2017 to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena for back-to-back nights on Friday and Saturday (Aug. 4 & 5). Trading songs and stories throughout the night, the pair seemed as happy as ever to be in each other’s company on stage.

With top-notch production accompanying them, their voices blended together perfectly on songs such as “Felt Good On My Lips,” “The Lucky One,” and “I Like It, I Love It,” which evoked a massive sing-a-long from the hometown crowd.

The pair also performed a new track, “Break First,” with one another. The song had McGraw and Hill gazing at each other from across the stage in what became an epic staring contest between the two. McGraw happily claimed that he “won in Nashville, no less,” while Hill jokingly demanded a “do-over.”

After performing the song “Telluride” from McGraw’s Set This Circus Down album together, McGraw stepped off, letting his wife take center stage.

Though Hill had just come off of a mandatory two-day vocal rest, she powered through her solo set, singing a handful of her biggest hits, including “This Kiss,” “Breathe,” and “Wild One.”

McGraw returned to the stage for his time in the spotlight, singing a variety of songs from his 26-year career before the two joined together once again for their latest single, “Speak To A Girl.” During “It’s Your Love,” photos and memories from their 20-year marriage flashed across the screen as they gazed into each other’s eyes.

Perhaps the most memorable moment of the evening came during the encore with the duet “I Need You.” After a stellar performance, the couple soaked up the roaring applause while waving goodbye to the loving Music City crowd.

The show is unlike any other co-headlining tour on the road. The set list allows each artist to have their own time in the spotlight, while also highlighting their many duets.

The Soul2Soul World Tour 2017 is far from over, with stops everywhere from Cleveland, Ohio to Fargo, ND, to Tampa, FL left on the books. For more information regarding the tour, visit soul2soultour.com.
