Tim McGraw has gotten into the habit of recording backstage covers with some of his tour openers, and this time he is sharing a jam session with Charlie Worsham as they cover Glen Campbell’s 1975 hit “Rhinestone Cowboy.”

Worsham kicks it all off with the same opening riff as the original, and continues to provide the guitar accompaniment throughout the raw performance. McGraw takes the lead for the first verse, followed by Worsham on the second.

Impromptu acoustic jam sessions with buddies are part of what country music is all about. The two country stars do Campbell’s hit justice, with Worsham receiving praise from McGraw as they conclude.

“Jeez, that’s good… If I could sing like that, I would have a career,” McGraw joked after Worsham impressed him with the final closing riff.

McGraw previously performed a backstage cover with rising country trio, Midland. Filmed in the locker room showers for better acoustics, the men covered Alabama’s classic “Dixieland Delight.”

Worsham joined McGraw and Faith Hill for three Canadian stops on the Soul2Soul Tour. Other artists making appearances as opening acts on the tour include Chris JansonCamDevin Dawson, Maggie Rose, Eric Paslay, Brandy Clark and many more.

The Soul2Soul Tour, featuring Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, will run throughout the remainder of the summer and into early fall.
