Just as Lady Antebellum did the night before, Tim McGraw showed that great songs last through the years at night two of Country LakeShake. The hitmaker took the stage at 9:20pm with thousands waiting to sing along to his greatest hits. With a set list that included “I Like It, I Love It,” “Where the Green Grass Grows,” “Just To See You Smile,” and “Southern Girl” (just to name a few) McGraw proved that he’s an act that’s here to stay. Among his set were a few new tunes, including the song “California” from his Damn Country Music record, which displays McGraw’s iconic style and swagger.

Also among the night two main stage acts was Brooks & Dunn, who brought the people to their feet when they brought out members of the United States Armed Forces for their hit “Only in America.” Their upbeat set included “Red Dirt Road,” “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” and “Play Something Country.” The duo will take the stage yet again for night three of LakeShake.

The talent didn’t stop there, however, as Martina McBride and Jon Pardi also brought the party to the Windy City when they belted out their fans’ favorite songs. Pardi played songs from his new record California Sunrise, including his recent hit “Head Over Boots.” McBride brought us back in time with “Wild Angels” and “This One’s For The Girls.”

While some major action was going on at the main stage, the Next From Nashville stage also drew quite the crowd. Fans packed in tight and gathered around to see rising stars Ryan Hurd, Kelleigh Bannen, Brett Young and many more.
