After recording music for over 20 years and having made 14 studio albums, Tim McGraw never seems to tire over his love of session musicians.

McGraw has been around long enough to hear from a large number of session musicians in his day, and with each one, he can see the great talent they possess with whatever instrument they specialize in for the record. He respects all of the people that help him bring a record together, no matter how big or small a part they play on the album.

“I like, I mean, I love players. I’m a big fan of any kind of player. I think musicians are just incredible that are really great at their craft,” said McGraw.

Although he has seen the best of the best play for his music throughout the years, McGraw still can’t choose a single one to call his favorite because they all are just so good at what they do and know how to make every note sound amazing. But there is one guy McGraw is quite fond of, as he even played guitar on almost every single track on his latest album, Damn Country Music.

“And I’d be hesitant to name anybody ‘cause I’ve used so many different people and there’s some great players and I like everybody that’s ever played on my albums, but Michael Landau on guitar is one of my favorites, of course, for sure,” he admitted.

Landau even played the guitar for McGraw’s current single, “How I’ll Always Be,” which is playing on country radio now. Fans can add the track to their digital music library and check out the rest of Damn Country Music on digital retailers and streaming services.
