Attention, everyone: Tim McGraw is officially the winner of the Husband of the Year Award after his gracious comments about his wife and fellow country artist, Faith Hill.

While it’s no secret to fans that McGraw and Hill represent the best of the best for country couples, the “How I’ll Always Be” singer put his affection all out on display while chatting with media down the red carpet at the movie premiere for The Shack. Making it known how much he praises his lovely lady, McGraw didn’t shy away from his deep feelings for her at the event.

“I’m lucky to have her,” McGraw told E! News at the star-studded premiere. “She’s the light of our whole family’s life,” McGraw added. “She keeps everything going for us. We all strive to be like my wife, everybody in our family. If your wife holds the example for everybody in your family, that’s a good thing.”

Not only does McGraw look upon his wife to hold things together, he also has high hopes for his daughter, Gracie, and her possible music career. Although he doesn’t want to push her in any direction without her approval, McGraw thinks the music world would be a perfect fit for her if she ever planned to release a record.

“I think she should make an album. I’m trying to talk her into it. I don’t know that she’d let me produce that, let’s put it that way. She’s a better artist than I am a producer. She’s just such a great singer. She loves Adele. She loves Beyoncé. She’s a unique, unique stylistic writer and singer. One of these days, it’ll show up,” McGraw said about the opportunity.

The Shack, in which McGraw co-stars, is out for viewing in theaters now.
