Grab your tissues everyone — this video will make the tears come on strong.

At Toby Keith’s concert in Charlotte, NC this past Friday (8/21), Keith had 93-year-old retired Lt. Col. Harry Frizzell, of Oklahoma, join him onstage. Keith wanted to show his fans what a “true American hero looks like,” so he asked Frizzell to join him for the encore, which included the songs “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” and “American Soldier.”

Keith explained that Frizzell had been in several wars during his 30+ years of service: World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

After the encore, Frizzell took over the mic and introduced himself to the crowd and talked about his experiences during his time in the service. During his speech, he announced “I would like to say just a few sentences, letters here. God bless America.”

Overcome with emotion, Keith hunched over, then straightened up to wipe his eyes.

It’s no secret that the Oklahoma native is a supporter of the United States Armed Forces. He’s known for making numerous USO trips overseas.

Watch the video below.. and don’t say we didn’t warn you…it’s quite emotional. (Skip to 10:30 for Frizzell’s speech – although we recommend watching the entire video!)
