Trace Adkins is slipping his acting skills back on for a go at playing the role of an outlaw in a new Western film called Stagecoach: The Texas Jack Story.

The film, which stars Adkins, is about a man by the name of Nathaniel Reed, who used to be a ruthless outlaw taking care of business throughout the land. After settling down and becoming a rancher in his calmer days, Reed’s enemy who once wronged him comes back for revenge and begins a massive back-and-forth between Reed and his nemesis. The only problem is that the man fighting against Reed is now technically a U.S. Marshall, causing controversy beyond just the typical horseplay.

Stagecoach is based on events occurring in real life involving Reed, who happened to be a 19th century bandit and known for being quite the infamous outlaw during his time.

Adkins plays the role of Reed, who originally went by the name of Texas Jack when he was a gunslinger during the Western times. The country singer is joined by Judd Nelson, Michelle Harrison, Garry Chalk and Helena Marie for the project.

Fans can check out Stagecoach: The Texas Jack Story in theaters or on VOD and digital HD on November 4.
