Trisha Yearwood Heads Back to the Studio to Record New Music
Trisha Yearwood fans, it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for: she is back in action after several years away from the studio!
It’s been many long years for Yearwood’s supporters since they heard new solo music from the singer, and now is finally the time for her to get back in the groove and record something fresh. Although she didn’t expose much about the project just yet, Yearwood took to social media to let her followers know that her plans for the next few months will include studio time… and lots of it.
“I’m headed to the studio to start on a new record for the first time in…I don’t know, you guys probably know how many years better than I do. And I am so excited to start new music! So, it’s day one and we’re gonna share this journey with you,” she explained.
Noting that a behind-the-scenes camera crew would be lined up to capture everything going on in the production process, Yearwood could not be more thrilled to jump right back where she was just a short time ago.
“They might have to bleep me because sometimes I get excited in the studio, but wish me luck,” Yearwood also joked in the clip.
Yearwood last released music in 2014 with the debut of Prizefighter: Hit After Hit. While the project featured 10 previously recorded songs, the Georgia native also gave fans six new tracks to listen to. Her last full-length project of original music was called Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love, which came out in November of 2007. Fans also heard her team up with husband Garth Brooks for their joint Christmas album last year, Christmas Together, and have also kept up with her in live shows as a part of Brooks’ world tour act.
No word yet on when Yearwood’s new album will be released, or when a single will head to country radio for the singer.
