The time has now come for this season’s contestants on The Voice to prove their worth to not only the judges, but the viewers of America as well in the Live Playoffs portion of the series.

As always, Blake Shelton and his team are in it to win it, which means the singer faces losing some of his top talents if people at home don’t take the initiative to support their favorites throughout the many different outlets of voting. Although everything is heating up one more step along the way, Shelton prepared himself for the dramatic performances that lie in front of him.

Spensha Baker wowed the crowd by taking a note out of Vince Gill’s playbook with a rendition of his song, “I Still Believe in You.” Adding her signature soul to a slower country ballad made Baker stand apart from other country singers competing, but her powerful notes didn’t compare to weeks prior. Her decision to hold back may affect how voters look upon her future.

Pryor Baird rivaled Chris Stapleton with his performance of “I Was Wrong,” in which Baird changed things up a bit to incorporate a bluesy sound compared to the original. While his multiple talents of guitar picking and singing make for the ultimate package overall, it’ll be interesting to see if viewers see past the Stapleton vibe and put Baird into his own category of country-rock.

It was Kyla Jade, though, that took everyone watching to church by preaching to the choir on “How Great Thou Art.” Her range strikes a chord in the hearts of many, as she brought the gospel and absolutely slayed its sound entirely in the best way. Shelton is probably praying for all the votes to save Jade for another round and putting faith into her going all the way to the finale.

The Voice airs new episodes every Monday and Tuesday night at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
