One night after stealing a player from his own team, Blake Shelton was tasked with eliminating another contestant when The Voice’s knockout rounds continued. His final team of the round combined the vocal stylings of Pryor Baird and Jaron Strom.

Both Baird and Strom were early favorites after their blind auditions so having to say goodbye to either one would be a difficult task for their coach. For his performance, Baird decided to take on “Will It Go Round in Circles,” by Billy Preston. His gravel-y voice impressed the coaches, much like it did during his early performances in season 14.

Strom brought out his best with a cover of Bruno Mars’ “Grenade.” The performance was a shaky one for the singer, which was noticed by his coach. Though he impressed early on in the competition, his knockout performance wasn’t enough and Strom was sent packing.

Another stand out round in Tuesday night’s episode was from Kelly Clarkson’s team when her singers, Brynn Cartelli and Jamella, who each took on hit country songs for their knockout round. Cartelli performed “Here Comes Goodbye” by Rascal Flatts, which allowed her voice to soar and showcase a whole new side to her vocals.

While Cartelli blew viewers away, she was equally matched with Jamella, who put her own spin on Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush.” Shelton praised her for making it her own, while Adam Levine said Cartelli edged her own. Clarkson agreed and sent Jamella packing.

The Voice knockouts continue into next week. Catch the show on Mondays at Tuesdays at 8/7c.
