With another week comes another round of eliminations and the competition firing up on The Voice has the contestants desperate for a spot moving on to the Top 10.

Monday night’s episode held some great performances as voted by the fans at home, and many of the coaches’ artists experimented with their sounds and tones to match up to what the viewers were looking for. Leading in the suspense by announcing just nine out of the 10 moving forward, host Carson Daly made everyone at home sit on the edge of their seats as he called the names one by one.

Team Blake won out with all three of Blake Shelton’s members moving forward into the next round with Pryor Baird, Kyla Jade and Spensha Baker earning enough votes overnight to get their rightful spots.

It was Sharane Calister and Christiana Danielle who wound up in the bottom category, having to fight for the opportunity to continue on the series. Calister tried to redeem herself with a rendition of Beyonce’s “If I Were a Boy,” but even Adam Levine mentions that she fell short of the vocal power of the track in a roundabout way. Danielle went toward “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, which sounded a tad shaky but came out clear overall.

From there, the voices of America came together to save Danielle and therefore, Calister was sent home after giving it her all and putting the effort in. Team Adam and Team Kelly both hold only two team members left, while Team Blake and Team Alicia have the upper hand with each coaching three players left.

New episodes of The Voice air on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
